Wacker Rd12 Problems

We purchased a brand new Wacker roller in 2014 and have 200 hours on it, and its acting crazy already. When we stop and change direction the front drum starts jumping up and down, sometimes violently. It doesnt do it until it has been worked for a while and it doesnt seem to matter the slope or incline, because its been happening on fairly flat areas and only after a couple hours of use on normal temperature days it will start acting up. Of course we cant take it to the dealer we bought it from because they would have to work it for a couple hours to get it to start happening and we cant make it reproduce on command. I did video tape it on my phone but couldn't figure out how to upload and attach it.

We have had problems with the RD11 roller in the past with overheating which we know was a common problem but this seems different. We shouldve just went with a different brand after the the trouble the RD11 gave us but here we are again. Anybody else running into this please comment? We have done regular service and have adjusted the forward/reverse control several times thinking it could be that but to no avail.

Champion superpac 840

Ok i have a champion 840 packer that will not move. Hooked gauges to it has no pressure. The propel pump has been rebuilt the problem continues. Ive replaced a bad destroke solenoid (brakes) thinking maybe that was the issue it was not. So now the tractor has a rebuilt propel pump and new solenoid but still will not move. Im all out of ideas at this point. Other than blindly throwing parts at it

Mauldin rollers

Can anybody ID these old Mauldin rollers I just picked up? Apparently the new regime at Mauldin doesn't care about helping with this type of thing.The smaller one up front is the exact duplicate of 1 already own,has a 15 HP B+S engine with a clutched eccentric for vibrating the whole rig(including the fillings in your teeth,lol).The larger one has a 17HP Kohler,articulated,with an eccentric on the rear drum,all hydraulic.

Protec Boxer 114

Hello fellas;
I have a Protec Boxer 114 in our shop that is in our mixed breed rental fleet. I am trying to find at least a wiring diagram. Is Protec no longer in business? I haven't been able to find any information on them. None the less, find a dealer. If anybody could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

ingersoll rand packer SD70 high speed solenoid problem

We have an SD70 at work here and there are 2 problems with it. One, the high speed solenoid on the right side of the engine will not kick in. If we unplug the connection, we have volts on both high and low speeds but it will not kick in. Problem with the solenoid or could it be with the command protector?

Also, the fuel shut off solenoid will not kick on when the key is turned. We have to use a tie wire to keep the engine running.

Is there any way to test the solenoid on the bench?

Bought this from a guy near me. Six cylinder JD diesel. Guy said it weighed 6 tons when I first went to see it a year ago. This time he said he had no idea. Felt like more than 6 on the ride home. Vibrating function seems to work well, it was bouncing itself sideways across the yard. Battery was dead by the time I got back and had to pull it off the trailer with the backhoe.

I'm working on a cat cb534d roller serial number Eaa625 travel issue. I'm getting a flash code 14 which If I'm correct relates to the fwd edc solenoid. The solenoid is new and still getting the code. Does anyone have any troubleshooting info or advice? I have found a few schematics but not sure if they are for this machine.

Homage bw 172 no fuel. Priming procedure

Hey I have a Bomag bw 172 roller that one of my guys ran out of fuel. Is there a procedure to prime it back up. I am not getting fuel up to the injectors. And I do not see any pump to pump it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pull type compaction roller-will it get the job done?

I'm going to need to build a pad for the building I'm going to build. The building will be 50x125, but the pad will be about 150x150, thinking about coming up above grade about 3'-4' to be even with the road.

The soil is nasty expansive black gumbo, I'm going to be stabilizing with lime (I think I'm going to be incorporating with a big offset disc).

I'm going to be doing as much as possible myself, only thing I know I won't be doing myself is the concrete.

I'm trying to figure out the problem of compaction, I've been seeing rollers like this; http://www.kesselfarms.com/siteimages/sfr1.jpg
And I'm wondering is that given enough passes, will these get the job done? I know this depends on the findings and recommendations of a soil engineer, but would it work in theory? I'll be my own construction crew, so time isn't an issue.

Does anyone know where the filter for the hydraulic system is located? My roller only moves a short distance then stops and I'm thinking the filter could be clogged but don't know where it is.

2012 Volvo DD 118 HFA - Good machines or headaches???

Looking to possibly purchase a used Volvo DD 118 HFA asphalt roller. I've never owned a Volvo roller, just wondering if they are good machines or if they have a lot of problems and I should stay away. Other possibilities are Cat and Dynapac. Thanks for any input.

Our customer wants us to sell this for him. It is the simplest machine I have ever seen, However! I have scoured it top to bottom and can find no evidence of anything as far as manufacturer, model or serial number anywhere on the roller. for those that have been around both,3054 in the 433 or the 3116 in the 563,will the 563 do a better job of compacting by its shear size.is the 563 with a blade a wide load?which one was more dependable or least problem free.will the 563 climb has well has a 433, which one is more stable on side slope.is the c model the better one to get?

Tow package?

Does the tow package on older Galion and Hyster compactors work?? I'd like a double drum but don't have a low enough trailer to get it on. Do the older units with the tow package work or was it just a marketing ploy?? I'm going to use this 50 hours a year and can't justify $10K for a rubber/steel machine.

CP-433 Losing hydraulic power

I’ve had fuel problems in the past but our roller has thrown a new problem which I thought was fuel related. I’m thinking it is a hydraulic problem now. I can run it on low frequency but it is not vibrating strong. The engine sounds strong but the hydraulics seem weak. Turning, vibrating, and moving at the same time is straining it. It does not have the thump it had last time we used it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
