I am still looking for a 66" single drum comapctor (smooth w/pad foot shell kit). I can find many Bomag BW177s, and IR SD 70/77s. What I would like to have is a drive system that will put power to the drum and drive wheels regardless of traction loss to one or the other. I know that Cat has such a system due to seperate pumps and motors for drive wheel and drum. Is Cat the only one who has such a system? Can the effect be accomplished some other way, and more importantly does someone else offer said other system? Despite the obvious advantages on slopes, another primary concern is safe loading onto my trailer. I have loaded an SD77 on there many times, and it is pretty dangerous when the drum looses traction. I have not had this problem when loading Cats. I am not opposed to owning a Cat (I've had great luck with all the Cats I have owned) but they are usually much more expensive to purchase. I'm not sure I want to pay top dollar for a compactor that may not compact any better but climbs up the trailer better.

Buffalo Springfield KT-7

I have a Buffalo Springfield KT-7 asphalt roller that I am looking for information on. Specifically, I am looking for specifications to align the bull gear and trans shaft gear, and how the clutches go together, and where I can buy parts, if needed. A parts or service manual would be helpful.

I was wondering if a Galion roller manual could guide me through this. I think there were old galion rollers that had clutches that were similar to the Buffalo Springfield. Does anyone know what models or years or serial numbers I would be looking for? Didn't Galion buy them out at some time?

This is a 3-5 ton roller with a Continental engine if that helps. Thank you.

Need help with the ID of dual smooth drum roller

The roller was painted and can not find a tag that will ID it. age is about 1975-80, has a Wisconsin V-4 with two speed forward/reverse. two drum with hydraulic steering and rear wheels that can be raised/lowed via hydraulics for towing. Hello. I have a question.

I work at CAT and this last week I had to get a roller ready for sale. It was one of those pneumatic rollers.. a CW I believe, that has the rubber wheels on either side. I asked a guy I work with what kind of roller that was since rollers usually have drums. He said he thought it was like an asphalt finishing roller but wasnt positive. I told him I would ask the buyer... Whom I never saw.

So, I was hoping the people here could help me out. I guess I could have asked more people at work like salesmen or something, or I can Monday, but then I remembered this site.

Removal of wheel cylinders on Sp912 roller

Can anyone help me i have an older ferguson pneumatic roller model sp912 wheel cylinders are siezed and cant seem to get hub or backing plate of removed bolts in backing plate still cant seem to get it to move if anyone has any info on one of these rollers it would be greatly apprectiated

DD25 Ingersoll-Rand Drums Lubrication

Hi,

Could someone help me please and let me know If the DD25 Ingesoll-Rand roller need lubrication
or some maintenance at the drums level! I do not see any access for that.
I have no manual for this machine.
It is 1990 model with 3900 working hours.
On both front and rear hydraulic motion motors there are 2 srews marked "L" and "R".
What do these marks mean.

I appreciate if someone has the manual for this machine or th DD23 model(they are almost the same I think).

Ingersoll Rand SD100D vibration problem

Hi All
I am having a problem with a IR SD100D roller and looking for ideas on the cause of the problem. The vibrator on this roller is vibrating so hard that it is almost impossible to control the machine. This thing shakes the entire machine so hard that the operators eyes vibrate and he says he can't see. Any ideas as to what is causing this problem?

hi to all members having problem with my roller replace vibrating pump after roller stop vibrating also took drum out an check parts inside all is good change drum vibrating motor an it start to vibrate at both hi an low ,after a short while it stop giving a strong vibrate an will only shake the drum replace the vibrating pump a second time it did the same ting work for a short time an gone back to a light shake, check the pump charge pressure with no load 300psi an with load it goes down to under a 100psi also replace filters an getting a good voltage to the high an low solenoid don't what to check again two pumps cant go bad just like that need some help with this one .

Help needed with bomag 80 roller

Hi there got a bomag 80 roller about year 2005 it. Drives absolutely perfect in a straight line and even turning left is not a problem but when u turn right it seems to sort of lock up then u turn left and it Carrys on perfect cheers in advance
